My Profile

I am a Master Teacher member of the UK Reiki Federation
membership no. 2769M

Victoria GosherI teach and practice Reiki. Reiki is my life and my passion. I completed both my Usui Shiki Ryoho and Karuna Reiki® trainings in South Africa at the Bellavita Centre in Johannesburg. I am privileged to love the work I do. Often, my students become my teacher. I believe that Reiki and all other complementary therapies have a role to play in everyday life. Reiki empowers. My mission is to reveal that power.

How did I get interested in Reiki?

At an early age, I experienced visions, premonitions and had visitations. Later on, I realised that I had psychic abilities, but this gift had to be developed and channeled. My husband realised this too. He sent me on my first Reiki course. The rest, as they say, is history. At that stage of my journey, I became acquainted with the teachings of Carolyn Myss. I learnt so much from her and my appetite for Reiki grew in leaps and bounds.

History

My husband (Boaz & I) sunset at Mopani Camp, Kruger Park May 2005I was born in Guildford, Surrey. At the tender age of 9, I went to live in Johannesburg, South Africa. This had a profound effect on my life. Visits to the Kruger National Park, Victoria Falls and later on, Israel and Egypt, helped me to reconnect with my spiritual path. Interests like yoga, bird watching and scuba diving added a new dimension to my experiences. I returned to England at age 12 to complete my education. Thereafter, I returned to South Africa and lived in Cape Town for 3 years before moving back to Johannesburg.

I practiced Reiki in South Africa up until 2002, at which point I left to live in Israel. I lived on Kibbutz Revivim (which is in the Negev Desert) for 6 months. I was a volunteer working in the kibbutz's laundry and in my spare time practiced Reiki. Following that time, I went to live in Ashquelon, an ancient port on the Mediterranean, where I received patients, made house calls and worked in a day care centre for the aged.

In the heat wave of July 2003 I returned home to England. I opened "Your Hands Can Heal School of Reiki" in the autumn of 2004.
